• 1  The M35 High Speed Steel is known for its balanced combination of abrasion resistance, toughness and very good hot hardness. M35 high speed steel is similar with M2 speed steel but with added 5% cobalt to increase hot hardness, A tungsten-molybdenum-cobalt high speed steel it is used in a variety of applications and worldwide it is the most popular high speed steel because of its superior qualities and very good hot hardness. As a result of its low carbon content, M35 high speed steel has an outstanding combination of toughness properties and abrasion resistance when correctly hardened and tempered.

  Applications
  M35 High Speed Steel have better hot hardness than M2 high speed steel. It is used high production machine work and is used for various cutting tool, knife and punch and die applications. Some of these applications include Twist drills, taps, milling cutters, reamers, broaches, saws, cold work tools. M35 also is suitable for cold work tool applications, when exacting demands are imposed on wear resistance. The steel possesses an admirable combination of wear resistance and hot toughness and in these respects superior to the high alloyed cold work steels.
