  D3 Tool Steel is an air hardening, high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel that displays excellent abrasion and wear resistance and has good dimensional stability and high compression strength. D3 Tool Steel is heat treatable and offers hardness in the range of 58-64 HRC. Due to its abrasion resistance in the hardened condition, D3 tool steel machining should be limited to finished grinding.

  D3 tool steel, we can supply the round bar, flat bar, plate and square block. Diameters can be sawn to your required lengths as one offs or multiple cut pieces. Rectangular pieces can be sawn from flat bar or plate to your specific sizes. Ground tool steel bar can be supplied, providing a quality precision finished bar to tight tolerances.
